Downstairs you will find the Five O’Clock Saloon that seems like it has been uprooted from a John Wayne movie set. The several slant roofs that cover the doors mimic an Old West town and definitely make you feel like you have been herded into a different place and time. Although definitely constructed to have upscale design features, it also has incorporated antique elements such as; the hutch of the bar was handcrafted out of the side rails of our ancestor’s old grain truck. In fact, most of the décor has also been rummaged and collected from the homestead itself over the years. The Saloon is full of Western history, but you’re welcome to create some lore of your own (remember it’s Five O’Clock somewhere…).
“We are so happy we were able to spend our family vacation at the Lodge. It was more wonderful than we could have imagined! Lots of options of things to do in a serene, relaxing environment with all the amenities. The food was fantastic and we really appreciate being so well cared for. Thanks for the amazing hospitality and a memorable vacation.” Mary B. – Livermore, CA
“Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Time flies when you’re having fun! We feel like we just go here and now it’s time to go. We loved hanging out with your horses, hearing stories from your family history and gazing out on the beautiful Colorado mountain scape. We wouldn’t change a single thing about our time here…except maybe staying longer :).” Aaron B. & Jenny W. – Oakland, CA
